Estimating Manager for Life Sciences & Data Centre Construction- Job Vacancy in Mississauga, Ontario, Canada
You as an Estimating Manager, Life Sciences & Technology:
- You will be responsible for all estimating functions related to the Life Sciences and Technology group at EllisDon. This will involve pre-construction estimate preparation, budget and guaranteed maximum price submissions as well as design build and stipulated price estimate submissions.
- You will work closely with our mechanical and electrical estimating team as well as our operations, pre-construction, and engineering teams to prepare accurate conceptual estimates.
- You will build and develop cost metrics for all technical building types.
- You will work closely with the SVP / Area Manager for the Life Sciences and Technology group to successfully manage risk and EllisDon’s growth strategy for this group.
- Effectively determine the bid strategies required for the company to be successful as well as plan and coordinate and supervise large projects.
- Review all final estimate packages to ensure accuracy and completeness, prior to formal quotation.
Is this the right role for you?
- Engineering degree or equivalent combinations of technical training and/or related experience. Advanced management or technical training preferred.
- 15 plus years’ of experience in similar technical facility (data centers pharmaceutical manufacturing and laboratories; center) estimating and related functions plus thorough knowledge of corporate objectives impacting estimating, estimating strategies and techniques, and construction contracts required.
- Excellent organizational, supervisory and decision making/problem solving skills essential.
