Vital Main Integrity Inspector – Job Vacancy in Whitchurch-Stouffville, Ontario, Canada
Key Responsibilities
- Locate underground Gas facilities accurately using utility mapping software and electronic locating equipment.
- Ensure compliance with Enbridge regulations.
- Understand, prioritize, and respond to work requests dispatched by office.
- Understand and manipulate utility records (review identify and interpret).
- Review and interpret schematics/blueprints/composites.
- Effectively identify and document utility location and follow proper documentation procedures.
- Identify potential safety concerns for installation crews and public.
- Complete audits/verification of field records and installations.
- Perform locate verification for crews.
- Perform other duties and responsibilities as required.
Required Knowledge and Experience.
- Graduate from the Civil Engineering/ Technologist / Construction Management programs.
- Experience in the construction industry and/or utility locates is a strong asset.
- Capable of reading and understanding construction drawings and documents.
- Computer skills – MS Office suite (Excel, Word, Project, Outlook).
- Ability to learn job specific software.
- Self-motivated with good organizational skills.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to problem solve.
- Ability to work accurately under pressure, prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
- Valid Ontario (G) driver’s license with a clean driving record.
