Vice President Business Line Manager – Oil, Gas, Chemicals & Energy Transition – Job Vacancy in Vancouver,British Columbia,Canada

Responsibilities

This position will have responsibility for complex project negotiations (EPC, high risk, large scale, etc.) and interface with business development for the Oil, Gas Chemicals and Energy Transition (Hydrogen, Ammonia, CCUS, Renewable Fuels) markets as well as marketing of Kiewit’s capabilities to owners needing full-scope EPC services and other Engineering, Procurement, and Construction firms that require construction-only or EPC services. In addition, the position will interact and manage relationships with key OEM’s in this segment along with key third- party engineering companies. The successful candidate will perform the following:

  • Develop, prepare, and implement short and long-term business development plans ensuring they conform to corporate objectives. Recommend and present these plans to senior management as required.
  • Work closely with “Get Work” teams and other departments ensuring maximum exposure of the Company’s capabilities, including an understanding of the offerings of other Kiewit business units and the presentation of those capabilities when appropriate.
  • Provide technical assistance, subject matter expertise, and industry regulatory insight to ensure client satisfaction on design and plant performance and compliance.
  • Develop trusting relationships with key decision makers.
  • Analyze each opportunity and/or strategic client and provide feedback to the “Get Work” teams.
  • Attend and effectively represent the Company at trade organization functions as identified and directed by management and in concert with other Kiewit business units.
  • Keep executive management informed of conditions, activities, and trends including customer or prospect changes, technical developments, market dynamics and competitive strategies.
  • Develop and maintain leadership roles in the Oil, Gas Chemicals and Energy Transition (Hydrogen, Ammonia, CCUS, Renewable Fuels) marketplace.

Qualifications

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. • 15+ years’ of experience in the Oil, Gas, Chemicals, and/or Energy Transition (Hydrogen, Ammonia, CCUS, Renewable Fuels) marketplace or similar markets

• Required knowledge of industry regulatory, process innovation, and overall system requirements, including technologies involved.

• Able to rapidly develop strategies and tactical plans to position Kiewit in these markets.

• Demonstrated experience in project development and understanding of full phase project development, from FEL0 to commissioning

• Proven, verifiable, track record of developing team and approach leading to successful sales pursuits – GC, EPC, etc.

• This individual must be well organized and have a high energy level.  Her/she must be a perceptive self-starter who can plan effective sales and marketing programs and keep get work team aware of industry trends, market swings, and competitor       activities

• Be innovative and have the ability to perceive business opportunities and work closely with company management in developing and executing strategies which capitalize on these opportunties

• Able to negotiate contracts with clients, OEMs, and partners with support from legal team.

• Must possess a professional demeanor that builds trusting relationships

• Strong client skills and demonstrated ability to build and maintain relationships with VP/SVP and CxO level

• Excellent collaboration skills and mindset

• Excellent writen and oral communication skills.

• Interact effectively both professionally and socially with people of all levels

• Aggressive about career advancement through results-based performance

• Individual must conduct himself/herself in a manner which will reflect favorably upon the reputation for integrity, maturity, and sound business judgement

• Up to 50% travel required
