Technical Learning Specialist – Job Vacancy in Toronto, Ontario, Canada

What You’ll Do Here:

Working as part of the Aecon University team, you will directly liase with Aecon’s Information Services (IS) Team  to design, develop, and facilitate technical learning solutions to and for groups within IS, as well as our end-user community.
•    Coordinate with IS to assess ongoing learning needs and objectives and determine appropriate delivery modality (ILT/eLearning/VILT/job aids)
•    Create, administer, analyze, and report on end user needs assessments and skills assessments.
•    Develop and coordinate an overall software applications training curriculum for end users of all levels.
•    Assess and recommend vendor-based offerings, and support the implementation of these offerings as needed
•    Facilitate instructor-led training sessions.
•    Maintain existing learning assets to ensure currency and accuracy
•    Leveraging IS roadmap planning, act as a direct point of contact to keep apprised of changes and upcoming developments in in-house software applications and corresponding learning needs
•    Stay up to date with developments in both commercial and custom-built software products used in the organization.

What You Bring to the Team:

•    Proven experience executing adult learning principles, methodologies, and course design techniques.
•    College diploma or university degree in the field of computer science, information systems, or education, and/or 5 years equivalent work experience.
•    Project management capability including experience planning and tracking individual projects, stakeholder involvement and milestones
•    Change management experience assessing and managing potential resistance, obstacles and rollout challenges for new projects
•    In-depth, hands-on knowledge of enterprise and desktop applications, particularly Microsoft Office 365 including MS Teams, OneDrive, and SharePoint
•    Experience developing in Storyline Articulate
•    ITIL 4 certification an asset
•    Experience with BMC Remedy is an asset
•    Knowledge of Azure Platform, Amazon AWS,SAP, and SuccessFactors is considered an asset
•    Knowledge of trends in computer technology relating to software.
•    Flexibility to travel on a monthly basis or as required.
