 Specialist, Talent Development – Job Vacancy in Toronto, Ontario, Canada

As the Talent Development Specialist, you will:

• Leverage your existing knowledge and certification on various third party psychometric tools (DiSC, PPA, HPTI) as well as 360 assessments to perform both one-on-one and group debriefs.
• Oversee the administration and usage tracking of third party psychometric tools
• Review existing employee developmental goals, presenting opportunities for clarity and actionability
• Support the Aecon University Learning team to augment classroom learning with on-the-job learning opportunities
• Coordinate content development for Aecon’s ‘Career Centre’ Intranet site, sourcing interesting development media content
• Maintain the Executive Coaching roster and manage engagements for employee requests
• Partner with the Compensation and HR Delivery teams to ensure role profiles and career path structure in the Career Catalogue are up to date
• Support various development initiatives, i.e. Champions for Women in Leadership program, with event coordination, booking guest speakers, procuring learning materials, etc.

What You Bring

• Demonstrated experience managing HR processes/ programs
• Strong relationship building skills, with the ability to influence without authority across multiple levels of the organization
• Excellent communication, facilitation and presentation skills.
• At minimum, a working knowledge/awareness of various psychometric tools (i.e. DiSC, Myers Briggs, HPTI, PPA) as well as 360 assessments
• A high degree of discretion and confidentiality, using diplomacy and judgment in all situations
• Experience working in a matrixed environment
• Strong organization and time-management skills
• Ability to leverage technology/ multi-media platforms to support creative learning content curation
• Experience in construction is highly desirable
• Operational HR/ business partnering experience is an asset, but not required
• A Post-secondary degree in Human Resources or a related field

• French language proficiency considered an asset
