Senior Project Manager – Job Vacancy in Toronto – Ontario – Canada

BBA is seeking an experienced Senior Project Manager with a track record in renewable energy projects to join our growing Toronto office. You’ll enjoy dealing with new and existing clients and developing relationships with our multi-disciplinary groups. As a Project Manager, you are a front-line leader. The role requires a high level of creative thinking, a strong sense of business acumen, problem-solving ability, and effective interpersonal and teamwork skills. You are responsible for overall project management, project planning, scheduling, resource management, budgeting, and establishing and meeting critical project objectives.

Description:

  • Ensure that BBA’s Health and Safety Policy is applied by trained, qualified staff.
  • Manage multiple projects to meet client and BBA objectives.
  • Deliver consistently high-quality mandates (actively plan, coordinate and managing their scope, schedules, and costs).
  • Generate RFPs, lead proposals and negotiate awards.
  • Help maintain and develop a healthy opportunity pipeline.
  • Interface with national business line directors and other regions on applicable pursuits, proposals, or projects for various clients.
  • Prepare and communicate regional resource planning for assigned projects.
  • Maintain a highly motivated and value-focused team environment.
  • Provide specialist technical input, leadership, and management for projects, as needed.
  • Manage the expectations expressed by clients, project team members and the organization.
  • Address technical, commercial, and human project issues in a proactive and timely manner.

 Requirements:

  •  10+ years of experience in consulting engineering for the renewable energy sector
  • Extensive experience in successfully planning and delivering medium to large hydroelectric, wind, solar and energy storage projects
  • Solid experience in writing and preparing winning proposals
  • Previous experience in client management, preparing account plans/teams and growing BBA’s revenue for those clients over time
  • A professional engineer (electrical, mechanical, or structural) licensed in the province of Ontario, preferably with PMP certification
  • Willingness and ability to mentor and coach junior and intermediate staff
  • Strong project manager with a proven track record in delivering projects on time, on budget and with a high degree of client satisfaction
  • Willingness and ability to periodically travel to client sites, based on project needs
