Senior Project Manager – Infrastructure – Job Vacancy in Mississauga, Ontario, Canada

As a Senior ­­­­­­­­Project Manager at Graham you will:

  • Assist or lead the pursuit of new work and/or manage one or more active projects
  • Manage financial aspects of contracts to protect the company’s interests and maintain good relationships with the client
  • Ensure that projects are constructed in accordance with design, budget and schedule
  • Assist, review and negotiate contracts; liaising with legal counsel, as appropriate, in conjunction with the District Manager or Operational Leadership
  • Develop, recommend and implement the project plan, for awarded projects
  • Participate in Pre-Construction when needed while liasing with Design Management, Estimating and Quality
  • Coach/mentor, provide direction, and review the performance of personnel reporting directly to you
  • Monitor and control progress, costs and budgets throughout the project life-cycle
  • Review each project’s progress with the project staff as the project proceeds
  • Act to resolve disputes between the Company and owner, or Company and subcontractors, when needed while mentoring more junior staff throughout the process
  • Identify required and optional changes in project scope, negotiate change orders with the owner and participate in value engineering as required

Qualifications/experience: 

  • Civil or Structural engineering degree or equivalent training and experience
  • 15+ years of experience working in General Contracting
  • Thorough knowledge of all aspects of construction (technology, equipment, materials, negotiation, engineering, estimating, scheduling and safety)
