Dolce is now seeking a Sales Manager to join our team at Dolce Intl BMO Canada in Toronto, Ontario.

Job Summary

Wyndham Hotels and Resorts is searching for a new Sales Manager who will be reporting to Director of Sales.

Education & Experience

Basic Qualifications
•    Must have 3 years hotel sales management experience in Group Corporate and Association Sales
•    Proficiency with Amadeus Meeting and Events/Salesforce and Microsoft applications necessary
•    Valid G full driver’s license needed
•    Must have a college level certification in hospitality or business management

Physical Requirements

General Requirements

  • Proven and creative sales prospecting skills. Experience with cold calling on clients. Initiate and follow up on leads.
  • Hotel sales experience with respect to Group Corporate, Association Sales and Hybrid meetings
  • Knowledge of all departments of hotel.
  • Ability to analyze market data and translate it to a plan to target new business through Knowland Reports, etc.
  • Plan and execute Sales Trips and/or Sales Blitz’s including preplanning, setting appointments and executing sales calls
  • Successful at making presentations to key decision makers.
  • Must be able to read and write English to facilitate the communication process.  Requires good communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Ability to communicate customer needs and resolve complaints.
  • Sales ability and skill in both oral and written form.
  • Ability to identify and develop accounts with group rooms and catering needs.
  • Ability to establish and master active sales solicitation call goals as approved by the Director of Sales & Conference Planning.
  • Meet and exceed set goals.
  • Must possess basic computational ability.
  • Must possess computer skills, including, but not limited to Microsoft Word, Excel, Power Point and Amadeus Meeting and Events/Salesforce to manage the property’s business (including but not limited to) preparing presentations, generating reports, entering business, blocking space and building accounts.
  • Education & Experience

Fundamental Requirements

  • Manages a designated market territory based on annual room night and catering revenue target.  Actively prospects and solicits new accounts to meet/exceed revenue goals through telephone solicitation, conducting outside sales calls, online bidding/contracting, site inspections, client entertainment, RFP responses, and written communication. Targets key relationships with customers directly and through other sources including travel industry, CVB, etc.  Meets solicitation and maintenance call requirements.
  • Must be able to effectively communicate both verbally and written with all level of employees and guests in an attentive, friendly, courteous, and service oriented manner
  • Works with Conference Planners and other Sales Managers to assure maximum utilization of facility.
  • Prepares weekly sales reports and other departmental reports as designated.
  • Participates in business review meetings, bi-weekly sales meetings as needed.
  • Participates and professionally represents the hotel in industry related professional organizations, trade shows, community events, networking events, and sales trips.
  • Develops and maintains knowledge of market trends, competition and customers.  Also develops and maintains knowledge of Dolce company hotel and brand products and services, sales policies and SOPs and adheres to those policies and procedures.
  • Participates in cross-property selling programs by prospecting for new business from opportunity accounts near property that have outbound potential for other Wyndham and Dolce Hotels and Resorts and partners and supports the overarching strategies of the Global Sales Organization.
