Project Architect – Kiewit Infrastructure Engineers – Job Vacancy in Woodcliff Lake, New Jersey, United States of America (USA)

Additional Responsibilities
•    Leading and managing technical teams for assigned design disciplines during a pursuit or final design projects
•    Responsible for completion of project design tasks within engineering or architectural disciplines, in accordance with project design criteria and project management plans
•    Ensuring Kiewit’s Standard Operating Procedures are communicated and followed
•    Works closely with the Infrastructure Facilities and Building Lead in planning and implementing all work processes.
•    Develops and presents lead technical viewpoint on projects and ensures KIE systems are used to deliver the design in a standardized manner.  Ensures that a technical solution, consistent with the program and design is properly developed and produced.
•    Prepare and document required code compliance and material and product research.
•    Has overall responsibility for coordination with sub-consultants and reviews
•    Supervises work of less experienced architects and team members.  Responsible for all project work planning and scheduling.
•    Assists with the promotion, discipline, performance review, work allocation, training and mentoring of staff.

Qualifications

•    Registered Architect licensure with 7+ years of experience designing and leading major infrastructure facilities and/or architecture projects in the eastern US and nationally.
•    Works closely with the Infrastructure Facilities and Building Lead in planning and implementing all work processes.
•    Verbal and written communication skills including the ability to write technical memos and papers, and present technical topics.
•    Proficient in use of BIM and CAD platforms, including Autodesk Revit, and Sketchup and/or Rhino, and familiarity with related tools and processes
•    Experience with Microsoft Office suite, Project Management and Scheduling software
•    Demonstrated graphic presentation skills

Preferred Qualifications
•    Prior experience in oversight of architecture in the design and construction of transportation facilities
•    Experience and/or interest in sustainable design. LEED and / or Envision professionals highly desired.
•    Knowledge of visualization tools and processes a plus (Photoshop, Illustrator, SketchUp, 3-D Studio Max, Rhino, Grasshopper)
