Non-Union Carpenter – Buildings – Job Vacancy in Pullman, Washington, United States
As a Carpenter at Graham you will:
- Read blueprints for work planning
- Understand concrete forming, be able to build concrete forms, and other structures
- Complete rough and finishing carpentry tasks, while utilizing appropriate math skills
- Check completed units to be sure they are level, square, plumb and the right size, shape and location. Be able to adjust work as required
- Cut, shape, and join
- Layout and place rebar
- Erects scaffolding and ladders for assembling structures above ground level
- Perform other related duties as assigned
- Ensures that proper safety and incident reporting procedures are followed. Brings problems to the attention of the Foreman, Safety Manager or Human Resources
Qualifications & Experience
- Ability to lift heavy objects, walk and stand for long periods of time and performs strenuous physical labor under adverse field conditions
- Ability to lift, push, pull or carry objects; uses abdominal and lower back muscles to provide support over time without fatigue; and effectively jumps, sprints or throws objects
- Good manual dexterity and multilimbed coordination
- Ability to quickly move arms and legs
- Employee must have excellent stamina
