Maintenance Warranty Advisor, IOL Kearl – Maintenance and Turnaround – Job Vacancy in Fort McMurray, Alberta, Canada

As a Maintenace Warranty Advisor at Graham, you will:

  • Develop and deliver detailed warranty work breakdown structure, defining tasks and resource requirements
  • Collaborate with vendors in generating the best warranty solutions
  • Ensure the financial accuracy of warranty transactions as well as complete daily and monthly reconciliation reports
  • Administer timely and accurate warranty claims with the OEM
  • Ensuring warranty claims are properly captured and followed up with vendor as per agreements
  • Engage with Front line supervisors and  participate in post job meetings as well as daily scheduling / planning meetings
  • Work together as a collaborative team member within the Maintenance Function
  • Participate in meetings with internal and external stakeholders to provide required support
  • Provide all communication and documentation for filing in job binders
  • Ensure warranty claims have all required documentation to process in SAP
  • Document all parts and service warranty repairs to ensure compliance with related policies/agreements
  • Investigate and respond to all incoming warranty repairs leaveraging technical expertise
  • Manage core and credits return ensuring all data is followed up and entered in SAP
  • Review outstanding cores report and assist Material return coordinator (MRC)where applicable
  • Address non-returnable parts. MOH, Scrap, work with MRC/Planning on a path forward.
  • Review line confirmation data to ensure accuracy and timely submissions
  • Submit repair and return requests and coordinate with vendors
  • Represent the company in an ethical and professional manner
  • Document Re-work as applicable to the function.

Qualifications / Experience:

  • A reputation of effective communication and strong teamwork across organizations – viewed as a strong, positive partner by functional team members
  • Demonstrated knowledge of the work management systems such as SAP, Maximo, . Experience in the application of these management systems
  • Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint)
  • Knowledge of Collective Bargaining Agreements as it pertains to warranty management (Preferred)
  • 2-4 years of experience in technical service, parts, warranty or repair from a dealership or similar industry
  • prior heavy duty equipment (such as D9-11 Dozers, Haul Trucks and other mine equipment) product experience (preferred)
  • Completion of technical training and education in a relevant area such as Heavy Equipment Technician (HET) or other disciplines would be an asset
  • A high level of attention to detail, undertaking all work in a planned, methodical and accurate manner
  • Strong collaboration skills that enables you to build strong, positive relationships with diverse groups
  • In-depth knowledge of warranty processes; sales level and service operations
