IAM Development Lead, Cyber (Remote – Canada)- Job Vacancy in Vacancy Various locations, Ontario, Canada

What you will do

  • Provide hands-on application development technical guidance and operational support for the continuous improvement of IAM systems.
  • Introduce and champion best-in-class development techniques including frameworks, automation, and testing.
  • Drive thought leadership, consistent development processes, and coding practices across scrum teams.
  • Provide production operational support and work with operational support groups to determine the root cause behind critical production incidents and process challenges.
  • Lead initiatives to address appropriate work from the support backlog to mitigate recurring incidents in the future.
  • Work with product owners to reduce technical debt and improve operational support.
  • Collaborate with Scrum Teams to help write and maintain application code using best practice design techniques; help teams develop deep knowledge in application design and architecture.
  • Create and contribute mechanisms to enable easy testing and deployment of code in a timely and effective manner.
  • Estimate capacity, velocity, and throughput to enable accurate forecasting.
  • Help improve backlog clarity and dev-tool chain development and maintenance processes.
  • Research, evaluate and make recommendations that support or improve Scrum Team processes.

What you need to succeed

You are a leader by example, with the ability to effectively communicate to build and maintain strong relationships and collaborate in a team environment. You also have strong attention to detail, are a self-starter, and are capable of driving change in developing coding best practices within the team

In addition, you have:

  • Experience in designing and developing web applications as well as maintaining API Gateway solutions in a business-to-business and external services ecosystem.
  • Hands-on experience with API Management/Gateway platforms (e.g. CA API Layer7 Technologies, Apigee, Akana, Mulesoft, etc.)
  • Experience with SSL/TLS, PKI and certificate-based authentication, LDAP, HTTP Proxies and Web Servers, and main identity-based protocol.
  • Experience with identity protocols and standards such as OAuth 2.0, OpenID Connect, and SCIM or in-depth knowledge of Single Sign On and delegated access technologies (SAML 2.0, Kerberos)
  • Good understanding of basic networking, Web Services protocols such as REST, SOAP, and API design for extensibility and portability as well as XML/JSON data formats
  • Good understanding of Web security and ability to troubleshoot and act as the identity and access management Subject-Matter-Expert (SME) in a complex, major enterprise environment

Nice to have:

  • Any relevant cyber security or IAM certifications
  • Proven hands-on experience with CA (Broadcom) API Layer7 Technologies

Your combined education and work experience demonstrate that you have the competencies for the position. We are ideally seeking candidates with extensive experience as an IAM Developer / Lead, with exposure to API development and implementing large end-to-end identity & access management solutions.

Remote Work / Hybrid Work Model #LI-Remote

For this position, should you not live within reasonable commuting distance of the office, you will be able to work 100% remotely (within Canada) for the duration of this term.  The Bank is conducting a trial of a hybrid working model which provides employees with the flexibility to telework for significant portions of each month. During the trial, employees will be expected to come onsite on those days when they are involved in activities that they or their leader feel are better conducted in person and to build connections with colleagues.  For the majority of employees, it is expected that onsite time will range from 5 to 10 days per month, depending on your role.

  • Salaries are based on qualifications and experience and typically range from $97,395 to $121,740 (job grade 18)
  • Depending on performance, you may be eligible for performance pay for successfully meeting (7 to 10% of your base salary) or for exceeding expectations (15% of your base salary). Exceptional performers who far exceed expectations may be eligible for higher performance pay.
