Field Surveyor- Job Vacancy in Mississauga, Ontario, Canada

Essential Responsibilities:

  • Field survey new and existing plant structures and routes for estimation and design of projects. Upload pictures and survey data to the appropriate tools and shared folders
  • Liaise with local utilities, municipalities, and private property owners/PMs to facilitate the timely completion of projects
  • Assisting in the plan, design, and coordinate (MDUs, HFC, Coax, Fiber Network Architecture) within the standards and guidelines associated with client’s service delivery, plant upgrades and rehabilitation activity while ensuring they are technically sound, serviceable, and cost effective
  • Communicate the clients plans for new/upgrades to the potential customers and report back all the customer comments to the design, permit (Aerial & Underground), and construction department personnel to ensure a smooth flow of information between the groups
  • Maintain and report on project status through project tracking system
  •  Work closely with design, engineering support, and permit teams to perform all other duties as assigned

Qualifications:

  • At least 2-3 Years of Field Survey experience in Telecom or related field
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Word, AutoCAD and Adobe Acrobat
  • Coax, MDUs, & Fiber Network Architecture
  • Valid G driving license (must have own a car)
  • Must have experience using survey tools
