ESG Director – Job Vacancy in Montreal, Quebec, Canada

Primary Responsibilities

  • Implement the organization’s ESG (Environmental, Social and Governance) strategy to address opportunities for improvement
  • Monitor organizational measurement indicators and communicate efforts and progress to the management
  • Coordinate the CES Governance Committee and supervise certain CES activities such as volunteering at CIMA+
  • Act as reference person for CIMA+ leaders by advising and sharing its expertise in the field
  • Forge links between the pillars of the strategy and the construction sites and projects by following up with the pertinent teams
  • Manage the philanthropic donations budget
  • Lead the writing and publication of the annual ESG report
  • Participate in the improvement of tools such as the office layout guide, the guide to internal sustainable practices, the responsible procurement policy and the responsible travel policy

Profile 

  • Bachelor and proficiency in a field related to sustainable development
  • 10 years of experience in Engineering, including 4 years in sustainable development and ESG
  • Familiarity with ESG frameworks (SASB, CDP, ISSB, GRI, TCFD, SFDR)
  • Bilingualism (French and English)
  • Excellent writing skills and ability to deliver oral presentations
  • Propensity for working on multiple projects at the same time
  • Experience and ability to work with cross-disciplinary teams
  • Ability to communicate effectively with people of different hierarchical levels
