Deskside Project Team Lead – Job Vacancy in Toronto, Ontario, Canada
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES
• Key resource to Deskside Team Members for answers, evaluations, and prioritizing helpdesk requests for assistance from users experiencing problems with hardware, software, networking, and other computer related technologies
• Lead for all new technology deployments to Office and Remote Offices
• Provide assistance in gathering information for estimates, job site requirements for hand off to the Field Operations Manager
• Provide and delegate tasks as it relates to workloads
• Follow policies and procedures on maintaining and updating ITSM for the office location(s)
• Follow policies and procedures that outline how problems are identified, documented, assigned, and corrected
• Enforce escalated incident and service request handling processes
• Contribute to escalated problem resolution by giving hands-on support to end users when necessary
• Must be available to handle escalations of incidents that occur after hours
• Responsible for managing after-hours Projects for the Deskside Support staff
• Lead, coach and train Deskside Support staff on their day to day tasks and assignments
• Track and analyze trends in Deskside Support requests and incidents and generate statistical reports
• Report statistics and KPIs at Team Meetings
• Liaise and communicate with Business/IT staff and stakeholders for all on-going issues, queries, and statuses
• Collaborate on IT Department and Business Department projects when necessary
• Implement quality processes in Deskside Support and meet specific targets/key performance indicators while maintaining a high level of customer service
• Work with other departments to ensure that IT exceeds all Service Level Objectives
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES
• Lead, coach and train Deskside Support staff on their day-to-day tasks and assignments
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & TRAINING NEEDS
• Customer service oriented with strong interpersonal skills
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills to business end users
• Experience with supervising Deskside Support staff
• Experience with and training on multiple technologies including (but not limited to) Microsoft, HP, and Cisco technologies
• Ability to work under strict deadlines
• Ability to analyze and troubleshoot complex technical issues
• Knowledge of Microsoft Operating Systems (Windows 10)
• Knowledge of Citrix and Terminal services
• Knowledge of SAP and Fiori platforms is an asset
• Experience supporting Microsoft applications such as Microsoft 365 Administration, Microsoft Office, Microsoft Project, Microsoft Visio
• Experience supporting enterprise ERP and collaboration applications such as SAP and SharePoint
• Broad technical knowledge and experience in supporting workstation hardware and software configuration
• Strong understanding of policies and procedures as it relates to Information Technology
• Ability to work well in a team environment

• Deals with visitors and employees in person and on the telephone
• Communicates with supervisor to resolve issues as they arise
• Communicates with co-workers daily to resolve issues
PHYSICAL DEMANDS
• Must possess mobility to work in a standard office setting and to use standard office equipment
• Willing to travel to Project offices
• Ability to sit for extended periods of time
• Ability to work at least eight hours per day
• Ability to lift and carry computer systems and peripheral
