Cyber Risk Analyst (Remote – Canada)- Job Vacancy in Vacancy Various locations, Ontario, Canada

More specifically, you will:

  • Design, build, and produce high-quality communication materials including dashboards that align with our partner needs while telling a comprehensive and concise cyber risk story.
  • Help define risk scenarios and conduct assessments by collaborating with domain authorities across different Cyber portfolios, business partners and the Enterprise Risk Office to develop risk scenarios that feed into our enterprise risk process.
  • Support the operationalization of the Enterprise Risk framework through the cyber risk appetite statement by continuously developing and refining key risk indicators.
  • Work closely with the ERO and senior cyber members to help define cyber security risk thresholds that align with our risk appetite statements as part of a comprehensive risk management model.
  • Conduct workshops with a variety of business partners to collect and analyze data as well as develop reports and presentations to help communicate cyber risk and keep an up-to-date risk register.
  • Participate and support the implementation of our Cyber Security Strategy including assessing and recommending activities that support the strategic goals of the cyber division or offer improvement of the Bank’s overall cyber security posture and reduce cyber risk.
  • Concurrently manage multiple priorities with an eye to continuous improvement.
  • Provide advice and guidance to colleagues and partners and work multi-functionally with team members to resolve problems.
  • Develop, maintain and strengthen long-term relationships with Bank partners.

What you need to succeed

You are an outstanding communicator, able to work across multiple teams and departments to drive initiatives forward and write clear concise documents. You are also a change contributor, problem solver, and excellent teammate who can work both independently and cross-functionally to achieve results.

In addition, you have:

  • 5+ years of experience as a Cyber Risk or Data Analyst (or similar role) including familiarity with Cyber Security controls and current/emerging cyber security challenges and issues
  • Experience with data analysis including storytelling, data & analytics, and data visualization tools (Tableau, Power BI, etc.) with the capability to provide guidance/support in developing Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)
  • Familiarity with enterprise risk management frameworks and taxonomy including risk measurement
  • Familiarity and the ability to learn security risk management frameworks and principles (e.g., NIST) or Government of Canada IT security policies, directives, standards, and guidelines (e.g., Policy on Government Security, ITSG-22/33/38, Directive on Security Management, etc.)

Nice-to-have skills

  • Knowledge of enterprise oversight frameworks (e.g., lines of defense)
  • Effective communication skills in both official languages (English & French)

Remote work / Hybrid Work Model #LI-Remote

For this position, should you not live within reasonable commuting distance of the office, you will be able to work 100% remotely (within Canada) for the duration of this term. The Bank is conducting a trial of a hybrid working model which provides employees with the flexibility to telework for significant portions of each month. During the trial, employees will be expected to come onsite on those days when they are involved in activities that they or their leader feel are better conducted in person and to build connections with colleagues.  For the majority of employees, it is expected that onsite time will range from 5 to 10 days per month, depending on your role.

  • Salaries are based on qualifications and experience and typically range from $81,865 to $96,310 (job grade 16)
  • Depending on performance, you may be eligible for performance pay for successfully meeting (5 to 7% of your base salary) or for exceeding expectations (10% of your base salary). Exceptional performers who far exceed expectations may be eligible for higher performance pay.
