Architectural Draftsman – Job Vacancy
The KFC Architecture and Design team is looking for a skilled, experienced, and motivated Architectural Draftsman to support our innovation projects and restaurant pipeline. The position is based in Louisville, KY, and will be flexible/hybrid (primarily working from home plus a few days in the office). This is a three-month contractual position.

Job Responsibilities
- Use computer-aided drafting (CAD) software programs and equipment or a conventional drafting station to create and modify architectural documents, designs, working drawings, forms, charts and records
- Draw detailed and rough scale plans for structures, foundations and buildings based upon preliminary concepts, sketches, specification sheets, engineering calculations and other provided data
- Design interior room arrangements for commercial buildings using computer-assisted drafting (CAD) equipment and software
- Acquire and assemble information needed to finish architectural drawings, visiting job sites, if, and when, necessary to gather measurements
Knowledge and Skill Required
- Minimum 3 years’ experience in Architectural Drafting.
- Proficiency in Sketchup, Photoshop + Adobe suite, 3D skills required. Walkthrough skills will be a plus
- Experience in design, detailing, and preparation of construction documents for restaurants
- Excellent time management skills with the ability to work on multiple projects and at the desired speed
- Must be a team player with good collaboration skills.
- Must be fully vaccinated, subject to reasonable accommodation as required by law. Proof of vaccination required.
